Refunds & Australian Consumer Law
Refund position for AARI GROUP PTY LTD
This page explains the general refund position for AARI GROUP PTY LTD and how it sits alongside rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
Australian Consumer Law comes first
Nothing on this page excludes, restricts, or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including consumer guarantee rights that may apply under the Australian Consumer Law.
As the ACCC explains, consumer guarantees apply automatically to eligible goods and services, and businesses must not mislead consumers about those rights.
Consulting and project work
How refunds are generally handled
AARI GROUP commonly provides consulting, scoping, planning, advisory, technical design, implementation support, and other tailored business services. These services are often reserved, scoped, and performed specifically for the client’s requirements.
Because of that, change-of-mind refunds are generally not available once work has commenced, resources have been allocated, or a milestone has been delivered, unless otherwise agreed in writing or required by law.
Before work starts
Cancellations before commencement
If a client cancels before substantive work starts, the outcome will depend on the engagement terms, any reserved time, non-recoverable costs, and the written agreement for that work.
Where no substantive work has started and no non-recoverable commitment has been incurred, a partial or full refund may be considered, subject to the agreed commercial terms.
If there is a problem
Service issues and remedies
If you believe services supplied by AARI GROUP PTY LTD do not meet the agreed scope or do not meet applicable consumer guarantee standards, contact us with the relevant detail so the issue can be reviewed promptly.
Where a remedy is required, it may involve correction, re-supply, adjustment, credit, refund, or another lawful and commercially appropriate remedy depending on the nature of the issue and the rights that apply.
